hf contemporary is a contemporary fine art gallery located near the colonial city of Oaxaca, México, active in contemporary art markets within México, Canada, and the United States.
Since opening its doors in 1994, in the Eastern Canada seaport of Lunenburg, the gallery has presented topical work by North American artists working in two-dimensional and three-dimensional mediums.
With the gallery’s relocation to the Mexican southwest in 2007, pivotal and provocative work by emerging contemporary artists has become the gallery’s focus.
hf contemporary is housed in an old adobe structure, along the ‘entrada’ to the town of Teotitlán del Valle, 25 minutes outside the city of Oaxaca, in the direction of the historic Villa de Mitla.
The gallery’s co-directors are artists Laura Fisher and Christopher Huck.
